If you wish to install an application not found in the Microsoft Store, you will need to switch out of S mode. To do so:

1. On your Windows 11 PC running in S mode, navigate to Settings > System > Activation.
2. In the "Switch to Windows 11 Pro" section, select "Go to the Store." (Caution: If you also see an "Upgrade your edition of Windows" section, be careful not to click the "Go to the Store" link there.)
3. On the page that appears in the Microsoft Store, titled "Switch out of S mode" or similar, select the "Get" button. Once you see the confirmation message, you will be able to install apps from outside the Microsoft Store.
